In reading we have been learning about Kereru
Here is a few facts...
Kereru
They can live to 10 to 20 years.
They eat fruit, leaves, twigs and buds.
people used to hunt Kereru and some people still hunt them illegally.
Their predators are cats, rats, stoats, possums, and people.
In some places there are no Kereru at all!
